etad vah kathitam viprah

 kathaniyoru-karmanah

mahatmyam vasudevasya

 sarvasubha-vinasanam

 

Translation: 

 

O brahmanas, I have thus described to you the glories of the Supreme Lord Vasudeva, whose extraordinary activities are most worthy of glorification. This narration destroys all that is inauspicious.
