gate sata-dhrtau ksattah

 kardamas tena coditah

yathoditam sva-duhitrh

 pradad visva-srjam tatah

O Vidura, after the departure of Brahma, Kardama Muni, having been ordered by Brahma, handed over his nine daughters, as instructed, to the nine great sages who created the population of the world.
