evam vikatthamane vai

 kamse prakupito ’vyayah

laghimnotpatya tarasa

 mañcam uttungam aruhat

 

Translation: 

 

As Kamsa thus raved so audaciously, the infallible Lord Krsna, intensely angry, quickly and easily jumped up onto the high royal dais.
