Translation: 

 

Krta, the disciple of Hiranyanabha, spoke twenty-four samhitas to his own disciples, and the remaining collections were passed down by the self-realized sage Avantya.

 

Purport: 

 

Thus end the purports of the humble servants of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada to the Twelfth Canto, Sixth Chapter, of the Srimad-Bhagavatam, entitled “Maharaja Pariksit Passes Away.”
